More behind the scenes

21 04 2008

This tape was made by Larry Cuba who the man responsible for creating the wireframe fly-by used in Star Wars in the scene where the pilots are briefed before attacking the Death Star.  Like a lot of “computer animations” of the time, the scene was animated on a computer, then filmed, and then projected onto a screen using rear projection.  This same method was used to make all the cool computers in the movie War Games with Matthew Broderick.  It’s a bit of a slow video, but interesting nonetheless. Check it.
